Indeed we are using a very powerful set of permissions, but they are needed for Dashlane to work on everywhere. The reason invoked is User Data Privacy / Use of Permissions.
“Our extension (Dashlane Password Manager extension, 3M+ Users, ID: “fdjamakpfbbddfjaooikfcpapjohcf mg”) has been removed from the store on Saturday morning. The company which approached Chromium extensions help forum to reinstate their extension in Store, agreed their password manager does require quite a lot of permissions to function but now it doesn’t know what to do next. The extension has been removed from Web Store on Saturday as the Dashlane’s team of quick submission of permission justification and the new version didn’t help. Dashlane Password Manager Chrome extension is no longer available on Web Store for download, it has been deleted by Google over “user data privacy/use of permissions”, currently the extension page is showing 404 error.ĭashlane is aware of this, it received the first email on Friday from the CWS team to address the concerns in seven days.
